DRAWN AND QUARTERED IS REAL TORTURE

-
“Hanged until almost dead, drawn and quarted: “. . . was the penalty once ordained in England for the crime of high treason. It is considered by many to be the epitome of cruel punishment,[1] and was reserved only for this most serious crime, which was deemed more heinous than murder and other capital offences. It was applied only to male criminals, except on the Isle of Man.[2] Women found guilty of treason in England were sentenced to be taken to a place of execution and burned at the stake, a punishment changed to hanging by the Treason Act 1790 in Great Britain,[2] and 1796 in Ireland.

(…)

Until reformed under the Treason Act 1814,[2] the full punishment for the crime of treason was to be hanged, drawn and quartered in that the condemned prisoner would be:
Dragged on a hurdle (a wooden frame) to the place of execution. This is one possible meaning of drawn.[3] The more likely meaning of Drawn is the act of disembowelment.[4]
Hanged by the neck for a short time or until almost dead (hanged).
Disembowelled and emasculated and the genitalia and entrails burned before the condemned's eyes (this is another meaning of drawn—see the reference to the Oxford English Dictionary below).[5]
The body divided into four parts, then beheaded (quartered).
Typically, the resulting five parts (i.e. the four quarters of the body and the head) were gibbeted (put on public display) in different parts of the city, town, or, in famous cases, in the country, to deter would-be traitors who had not seen the execution. After 1814, the convict would be hanged until dead and the mutilation would be performed post-mortem. Gibbeting was later abolished in England in 1843, while drawing and quartering was abolished in 1870.
There is debate among modern historians about whether "drawing" referred to the dragging to the place of execution or the disembowelling, but since two different words are used in the official documents detailing the trial of William Wallace ("detrahatur" for drawing as a method of transport, and "devaletur" for disembowelment), there is no doubt that the subjects of the punishment were disembowelled.[6]

[COMMENT: The above is a high degree of torture. In comparison, waterboarding is nothing.]

“A NATION OF SHEEP”

-
(Book Description, //www.hotbooksale.com/)

"In A NATION OF SHEEP, Judge Andrew P. Napolitano frankly discusses how the federal government has circumvented the Constitution and is systematically dismantling the rights and freedoms that are the foundation of American democracy.? He challenges Americans to recognize that they are being led down a very dangerous path and that the cost of following without challenge is the loss of the basic freedoms that facilitate our pursuit of happiness and that define us as a nation. Judge Napolitano reminds readers what America is all about, that the purpose of government is to protect freedom, and freedom is the ability to follow your own free will and not the will of government bureaucrats.? He asks the simple question, which are YOU, a sheep or a wolf?? Do you blindly follow behind where you are led, or do you challenge the government at every pass, forcing it to make decisions that will protect our freedoms? Judge Napolitano asks the questions that no one else will, challenging readers to rethink why they are blindly following a government that only its own interest in mind.? He asks: Why is the government using the war on terror as an excuse to sidestep the Constitution? Why are Americans not challenging and questioning the government as it continues to limit more and more of our freedoms? What part of Congress shall make no law. . . does the government not understand when it criminalizes speech? Whatever happened to our inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness that are proclaimed in the Declaration of Independence, guaranteed by the Constitution, yet ignored by the governments elected to protect them? Why does every public office holder swearallegiance to the Constitution, yet very few follow it? Don’t we have rights that are guaranteed and cannot be taken from us?"

[COMMENT: The above book was written before the end of the Bush Administration. It is not just the Republicans squeezing us, it’s the Democrats, too; and, the Independents follow one or the other—they are not truly independent. We have been losing Rights for more decades than we realized.]

PA GOVERNOR ED RENDELL--4/23

-
GUN CONTROL: (Rendell debated NRA on “Gun Control.”—I’d like to see the transcript) On Maddow’s show, Rachel Maddow (after mentioning the 10th Anniversary of Columbine and the number of gun violence incidents) talked about gun control off the National agenda for years and asked the Governor, “Do you think that is gonna change?”

Rendell: “Yeah, I do. Not immediately I think the point that the President made is a good one. Right now, with the economy warranting our full attention, with Health Care on deck, and we need a bi-partisan approach to Health Care; an issue as contentious as reinstating the assault ban would have the potentiality to screw all that up. I think we oughta wait until we get those two, the economy and health care, under control. . . but, I think, Sen. Finstein is resolute about revisiting the issue; and, I think the issue has to be cast as a very simple issue.

Do we support our Police, or do we not? All around the country, Police will tell you they are outgunned. They are simply outgunned. And, we don’t have any weapons compared to the weapons in the hands of criminals, and often people who are not very sane. And, assault weapons have one purpose: You won’t find them in a duck blind for hunting; you won’t find them in the Olympics for target shooting. They are designed to maim and kill—to deliver high impact bullets, in spurts, so that they can’t help . . . but bring down their targets. We gotta getem outta the hands of criminals, and no ordinary person needs an assault weapon for hunting, to protect themselves or their homes. It’s as simple as that; and rationality has got to prevail.

As I said, I support the President. I know he got the letter from the Blue Dog Democrats, and he’s got to take that into consideration. But, there is going to come a time very soon, when the Oaklands, and the Pittsburghs, and the Philadelphias, and the Binghamtons, have to stop.”

[COMMENT: Anyone who says it’s not coming down the pike is trying to fool us. The above is clear notification that it’s coming; but, when it comes it will be at a time when they believe they can obtain consensus. Only crooks and gun-runners (and Terrorists) and drug dealers (crossing the border illegally) will have assault rifles.

How many Americans have assault weapons versus how many assault weapons incidences occur annually?]

THE LID FLIES OFF

-
During thoughts of prosecuting the Bush Advisors, and impeaching 9th Circuit Judge Bybee, think about the information we might have obtained, and the deaths we could have prevented under President Clinton.

If given the opportunity to prevent 9/11, do you think the families of the victims would have hesitated (for one second) to apply more vigorous measures against those who would kill 3,000 innocent persons.

Did the Clinton Administration fail to protect/defend?

Did they not know of the mushrooming threat, were they ignorant of information, and hampered in their ability to defend?

The Murrah Building, the bombing of the Cole, WTC 1 (possibly additional incidents) were ignored indicators.

What did we know and how did we hog-tie ourselves to prevent our knowing?

ENHANCED INTERROGATIONS

-
You can’t negotiate from a weak position, unless your enemies are kind. We have no kind enemies. In extreme situations, we need information; and, we must use ALL the tools in our bags to obtain the information, carefully.

News is leaking out that the interrogations were conducted on 3 individuals. Vital information was obtained. Not everyone was subjected to the interrogations.

We are not perfect. Survival is important. Tough measures are necessary. The meek would be extinct, if it were not for the protection of the strong. The weak are supported by the strong . . . or, they would not have a voice at all.

We can never be so civilized that we become extinct and the perps of the world survive to enslave the rest of humanity. We cannot accomplish a kinder world until more of the world becomes civilized.

MISS CALIFORNIA

-
To the point:

Free speech is dying, almost dead.

PANDORA’S BOX

-
When the current Administration prosecutes the former Administration, the lid will fly off.

Setting the precedent will cause a backlash; and will open actions that the current Administration will regret. Advisors won’t give administrations the time of day. . . , and that is the least of the painful fate..

Did this new group never think they’d be NEXT!

Opening the box and reaping the consequences seems like shooting yourself in the foot.

The UNIFIED NODCOCKS (U.N.)

-
Can you say, “League of Nations?”

The Head of the United Nations called US “DeadBeats!”

We pay approximately 25% of the bill.

In these days of return for investment, we’ve been snookered.

The U.N. does too little, too late,

And should be paid accordingly.

CONTRITION TOURS

-
The NY Times mentioned Contrition Tours, and the topic was discussed on CNN.

Today’s Tea Party is a protest against Contrition Tours. I have been against this activity for years. Jimmy Carter loves it and takes as many Contrition Tours as he’s able. Now, we have Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton conducting their own tours. The Tours undermine our positions, dilute our influence, and teach others to disregard US.

Thanks, but NO THANKS. When you downplay our respect for ourselves and do it on foreign soil . . . you are disrespected by others, and by US. We would not tolerate it from our friends in the world. We should not tolerate it from our Representatives.

If you wish to “air dirty linen,” do it at home!

Contrition Tours are disrespectful, and a betrayal of trust.

NEWS FOR NANCY

-
Republican voters are disgusted; Democrats are disappointed. Emperor Nancy has new clothes and her podium requires binoculars to view the average person. It’s Nakkid-Nancy, sniping (from on-high) that this phenomenon is Astroturf--not grass-roots.

In my case, it’s the real thing—grass and roots. I had to search for a Tea Party. When I could not find one I could attend, I decided to have my own. Many of us have been kicked out of the “Silent Majority” because we are speaking up. Nevertheless, we are part of the great “We the People.” We have opinions; we are angry.

We see IRRESPONSIBILITY and ARE CONCERNED with the direction our Country is headed.

Emperor Nakkid-Nancy refuses to see reality, and hopes to demean and minimize. We can see right through her.

TAXATION and the SMOKER

-
First, they came for the smoker. You weren’t a smoker; so, you didn’t care.

Now, they are coming for the obese. Listen up, Chubby. FatTax is coming!

The Nannies of the World have united, and YOU SHALL BE GOOD . . . or

YOU SHALL BE POOR.

EXTREMISM and TEA PARTIES

-
It is not extremism to protest high taxation, high deficits, huge budgets . . . trillions for the next generations to pay. When I run out of money . . . I stop spending. Not extremism, it’s rational and responsible. I expect the same reasonability from my Representatives in Congress.

Voting for someone new has become an exchange of dirty underwear. Harry, you change with Joe; Bob, you change with Sam. The odor is still there. We get the same results, no matter how we vote—no matter which party or candidate. The sameness is extreme.

The Country voted for change; the Country got more of the same . . . to the extreme. We are facing extreme taxation, extreme deficits, extreme budgets, for an extremely long time.

All of this leads to a conclusion that Government is extreme; certainly more extreme than an average person at a TEA PARTY.

LOBBYING and MEDIA

-
Do the ordinary people have a lobby? Probably not. We’re expected to write our Congressperson at various times with various opinions, but we seldom come together. The closest thing to a lobby might be AARP. It’s for people over 50. I don’t know what there is for people under 50.

If it’s up to us to lobby for ourselves we won’t make much impact; but, I do believe the TEA PARTIES were noticed. They were noticed and downplayed by some media.

CNN had a disgruntled reporter conducting her own discouragement. It was all about her—her opinions, her voice. She didn’t interview; she blustered. It’s a symptom of the biased media of today.

Reporters should be short on opinion, long (and accurate) on FACT.

DHS and THE EXTREMIST REPORT

-
Dept. of Homeland Security apologized to the returning Veterans. So far, the Extremist Report has incurred criticism after criticism. Here is another criticism: DHS used the Pittsburgh shooter as an example—a poor example. The Pittsburgh man is one of thousands of Pennsylvanian gun owners; the incident hit the headlines because it is unusual. The incident was broadcast locally, statewide, and nationwide because this activity doesn’t happen every day, or every month. Gun owners felt certain the actions of one gun owner would be used as grist for the mill, and they were correct.

There was no militia; the man was a lone gunman. The incident began as a domestic dispute—one of the most dangerous times for police officers. There are no acceptable excuses for the shooter. Lumping this tragic incident into a broader Extremist Report speaks more to agenda than fact, and appears to be engaging in conspiracy theories from the opposite spectrum of the shooter’s conspiracy theories.

We expect better from DHS than agenda, wild speculation, and hype. DHS stands between the Nation and real danger. Ron Paul, returning Veterans, and a lone fruitcake are not National danger..

TEA PARTY SPIRIT

-
I support the Tea Parties all over the U.S. Taxes are too high, but it’s more than that. Taxation is everywhere, all the time.

I can’t find the Law which allows taxes on everything and everybody. The Law(s) must be buried within tons of documents.

Is there a “Sin Tax” Law on the books? If so, who defines the “sin?”

I can think of a few activities which I think are sins. It’s a sin to continue to add “trillions” to the tax burdens of future generations. Let’s amend the Constitution to include a “SIN TAX” for sinful acts in Congress.

For each TRILLION ADDED, Congress members are fined/taxed 10% of their salaries and benefits. I call it “THE CONGRESSIONAL INCENTIVE TAX.”

TEA PARTY DAY, APRIL 15, 2009

-
Tea People . . . unite! Time to Speak Up!

It's time for the great Silent Majority to shout out. "We the People" have been silent for too long.

Kindly get your hands out of my pocket. Pickpockets are not liked, or legal.

One sign read: "My Piggy Bank ain't Your Pork Barrel."

Another: "Government, get out of my pocket, life, . . . and ash tray."

Big Government thinks nothing of poking into (and taxing) anything, and everything.

Patrick Henry did not say, "Give me taxes 'til I'm dead." He said, "Give me Liberty, or give me death." How much Liberty can you have if you are overburdened with taxes down to the third generation?

We recently thanked our great grandson. He's only a few months old! . . . Surprise, little guy!

DOMPIG on DAN ABRAMS SHOW

.
Dan Abrams 10/12

DOMPIG: Exactly. And I go by the rule of thumb that, in the first 40 days -- as I said in a different program -- the first 40 days, law enforcement has probably also already spoken to the perpetrators.

So we feel strongly that we have already spoken to them. And there's no one else outside this group that could be involved or responsible.

So sometimes people will ask us that, "Are you not tunnel-visioned? Maybe you should look at other possibilities." Of course. We did that. But we still feel that, every time you go on a path, a different path, that path leads back, comes back to these three boys.

DEEPAK TAPE

.
IIRC, the existence of the Deepak tape was announced, later shown on Dr. Phil.

The Prosecutor was advised the tape existed, & queried about being provided a copy.

The response was the original was required—copy not acceptable.

The requirement of the tape’s providers was public turnover, complete visibility.

Apparently, the Prosecutor does not wish an open turnover of the Deepak tape.

Why not?

Now, the tape is with the FBI. What’s the next step?

Suggestion:
The best action would be for an International Attorney to accompany an FBI agent (complete with orginal tape and verification documents,) both Attorney and Agent should appear before the Aruban Judge. At that time, the Judge views the original and is provided with a complete, unedited, authenticated copy prepared by the FBI. The original would remain in the custody of the FBI.

If this method is not satisfactory, there will be no prosecutable case.

COSBY, CRIER, TRAPPENBERG 10/10

Full Transcript: Cosby Transcript 10/10

COSBY: Do you have faith, though, in the Aruban government that it‘s doing everything it can do, Mr. Trapenberg?

TRAPENBERG: Absolutely. And Catherine is saying about politics. Politics has nothing do with the legal system here, and that‘s—I don‘t know how it is in the U.S., but here—you know, our judges are not elected. They don‘t have anything to do with it. It‘s a totally separate legal entity. They do what they have to do. And as much as the prime minister tried to get involved to feel that—let them feel that they‘d have the total Aruban support—and I mean the Aruban people and the Aruban government -- but still, the government is not the one doing the investigation.

And you know, when you hear talk about a cover-up, how are you going to cover up something when you have—when you‘re working with the FBI? You know, it‘s uncalled-for.

COSBY: Catherine, do you believe there‘s politics? He said there‘s not.

CRIER: Well, he says there‘s not—they aren‘t elected judges. You‘re right, they‘re not responsible to the people, they‘re responsible to the politicians and the upper echelon and...

COSBY: So in other words, they‘re accountable to the wrong people.

(CROSSTALK)

CRIER: Absolutely. And again, you‘ve got words from these guys about a felony that was committed, and yet all of them are free to leave the island. We know that Joran has already left the island. As I said before he did, if I was his dad, and not if I was a prosecutor, I‘d not only have him off the island, I‘d have him out of the Netherlands. And what‘s to stop the Kalpoe brothers from doing the same? Because right now, they‘re not under hold.
